Wash away the pain and give me back control, control.

"An angel got his wings and we'll hold our heads up knowing that he's fine.
We'd all be lucky to have a love like that in a lifetime."

Winter, Bayside

In the face of heartache, yet again I turn to music to aid me in meditating on the sometimes grand and often times grim aspects of daily life in America, in the world. Part of this daily living entails coping with and facing heartwrenching experiences such as death. Whether somewhat prepared for, as the one that I've experienced today pertaining to Cancer was, or completely unforeseen, such as the 3,000+ in September 10 years ago, death is literally a breath-taking, painstaking experience - one in which I toil with trying to accept the inevitability of whenever it comes bearing it's jagged, harmful teeth in my or this society's direction. Listening to relatable music is one of my coping mechanisms when things in my life are outside of my control, what are some of yours?
